These scholarships are available to graduating high school students and home-schooled students who live and/or attend school on Hilton Head Island and are based on a combination of academic performance, extra-curricular clubs, sports and community service. Community service will include both in-school and out-of-school activities. A 500-word essay on what differentiates the applicant from his/her classmates, and why he/she is deserving of the scholarship is a consideration. The Norman Reeves scholarship is for a student entering an engineering or related program. A separate application for the Norman Reeves Scholarship is not necessary. Applications are only accepted electronically and must be submitted as an attachment. A total of $20,000 in scholarships has been awarded for 2017.
